Morning
Group chat ping at 7am: 'Hanazono powder day, leaving at 8.' Coffee in the kitchen, gear on, carpool loaded.
Midday
Lunch near the hill at a local restaurant, then back on the lift. Some people peel off to take a 1pm call from their work desk.
Afternoon
Last lifts at 3:45. An onsen (hot spring) run for whoever's up for it — usually most of the house — and laptop time in the lounge for anyone on a deadline.
Evening
Communal dinner some nights, restaurants other nights. Game nights, movie nights, sauna. Repeat.

Is the shared house quiet enough to work from?
Yes — bedrooms are quiet zones with a proper desk in each room, and the lounges are calm during work hours. Most guests are remote workers, so quiet hours are respected.
Can I get my own private room?
Yes — private standard, deluxe, and master-suite rooms are available depending on your dates. Apply with your preferred room type and we'll match what's open.
How long is the minimum stay?
One month minimum. Most guests stay 2–4 months across the Niseko ski season (December through March).
What's included in the monthly price?
Everything except your flights and food: furnished room, fibre Wi-Fi, electricity, water, heating, kitchen and bathroom supplies, optional weekly cleaning, daily community ski trips, and access to all shared spaces. Rental cars are available to residents at cheaper-than-usual fleet rates, but are not included in the rent.
How much does it cost?
From ¥310,000 per month for a shared room up to about ¥2,160,000 for a private master suite, depending on month and room type. Stay 2 months or more and save 10% on the whole stay. First month rent + 1-month refundable security deposit is required to move in.
How fast is the Wi-Fi?
Fibre to the home with work-grade speeds — fast enough for video calls, large file transfers, streaming and gaming simultaneously. Desks in every bedroom plus quiet corners in the shared lounges.
Where exactly are the houses?
The houses are in Kutchan, Hokkaido — the largest town in the area. Each house is a 9–12 minute drive to the lifts (Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village, Annupuri).
Do I need a car?
We recommend one, but plenty of residents carpool or take the bus — it's about a 25-minute bus ride to the lifts. A car is worth it if you want to be on your own schedule: onsen and sauna runs, supermarket runs, side trips to Otaru and Sapporo. Rental cars are available to residents at cheaper-than-usual fleet rates, but they are not included in the rental price.

What's the cancellation policy?
Specific terms are in the rental agreement. The 1-month security deposit is refundable. Reach out before applying if you have questions about your specific dates.
